2008年にシアトルで開催されたラテアートの世界大会で優勝し、カフェコンサルタントとしての活動に加え、STREAMER COFFE COMPANYの代表として、5月には東急東横線・学芸大学と祐天寺の間の高架下に、最大面積となるストリーマーコーヒーカンパニー 五本木店をオープンさせた澤田洋史氏。

Hiroshi Sawada, a World Latte Pour Art Champion winning his position in 2008 Latte Art Tournament held in Seattle stepped up his carrier as cafe consultant and opened his cafe "STREAMER COFFEE COMPANY." Starting from Shibuya, he has opened Harajuku store and recent May, he has opened new store in Gohongi area right under Tokyu Toyoko Line.

初となるブランドブックに登場頂いた際は、「ゴアテックス素材やカモフラ柄など、さまざまなモデルを着用した時期を経て、M2040やM990、CM1700などを頻繁に履いている」と語ってくれた氏が、最近とくに愛用しているのはM990なんだそう。

First time we met for the first New Balance brand book interview, Hiroshi Sawada was wearing coffee color CM1700 and told us his New Balance story started from Gore-Tex 580 and camouflage collaboration model. Since then his has various model including flagship model, such as M2040 and M990 but his favorite pair for now is M990.

「店舗も増えたことで移動する機会も多くなり、歩きやすいモデルの登場回数が必然的に増えた」のが一番の理由だとか。他ブランドからも気になるモデ ルがリリースされれば、チェックして購入しているそうですが、「VANS履いてスケボーで移動したいんですが、公道を走るとすぐにお巡りさんに怒られてし まうので...」と苦笑いし、「どうしても履かずに、仕舞ったまま」という状態に陥ってしまうんだとか。

"I started to wear M990 more frequently since I opened new store in Gohongi" Mr. Hiroshi Sawada said. He also mentioned that he tend to buy new release sneakers from other brands like VANS, but end up wearing M990 from its comfortable fitting.

さらに「じつはM990を履いてから、他ブランドどころか、ニューバランスの他モデルに足を通す機会も減ってしまったんです」と語る澤田氏。最初勧 められて履き始めたときは「浮いているような感覚」になかなか慣れなかったらしいのですが、履き続けたらその履き心地と快適さの虜になってしまい、奥様と ご子息と家族揃って990愛好家になってしまったんだとか。

The first time he wore M990, he felt strange from its soft fitting, but once he got used to its luxury cushioning, he became addicted and stopped wearing other models from New Balance. Now, not only Mr. Hiroshi Sawada, but his family is wearing 990 from its comfortable cushioning.

この日に着用していたブラックとネービー、グレー、そしてニューヨーク限定で発売されたレッドの4色をローテーションで履く日が続いているそうで、M990に勝るモデルに出会うまでは、そんな日々が繰り返されるだろうとのことでした。

He is wearing black M990 for this interview, but he also has a stock of navy, gray and New York limited edition at home. Needless to say that his heavy rotation of wearing M990 will never stop until he finds a new model that exceed M990.

そんな澤田さんが、9月25日にストリーマーコーヒーカンパニー 五本木店にて第２回めとなる「TNT Latte Art Competition Japan 2014」を開催することが決定。ラテアートに自信のあるバリスタが参加し、エスプレッソの抽出カラーとミルクとの調和、美しさ、鮮明度、芸術性、創造性、難易度を競います。

Attention to all Latte Pour Art fans! Mr. Hiroshi Sawada is holding "2nd TNT Latte Art Competition Japan 2014" at STREAMER COFFEE Gohongi. Baristas from all over the world will join this tournament to compete against rivals.

当日の観戦は自由。大会参加者以外の観客の方々にも、豪華賞品が当たる抽選会も用意されています。さらに、ラテアート体験なども実施するので、参加者以外の方でも十分に楽しめます。

The tournament is entrance free and you have an opportunity to experience Latte Art and premium lottery to enjoy your stay.
