エクセレントメーカー25人目は、ニューバランスのパーティーでもライブペインティングを披露し、その縁から8月10日より神奈川・厚木のアミューあつぎアートギャラリーで開催する個展「OPEN STUDIO "公開作業場"展」でもニューバランスからのサポートを受けることが決定したアーティスト、井上純氏。

25th Excellent Maker we are focusing on is an artist who have successfully performed at New Balance press exhibition party. His name is Jun Inoue and he is about to hold his own exhibition at gallery in Atsugi, Kanagawa starting from August 10th with an title of "OPEN STUDIO" and he will be supported by New Balance as Excellent Maker.

彼がニューバランスと出会ったのは、高校時代。その頃はダンスに明け暮れており、当時憧れていた、今やEXILEのメンバーになっているような方々が、アンダーグラウンドでダンスをしているときにニューバランスを履いていた姿に惹かれ、自らも履くようになったのだそう。「ロゴのリフレクターが光り輝くのがカッコ良くて、モデル名も気にせず安価なものを買って、ダンスで履いていました」。それからは履きつぶしては新しいのを買い足す日々が続いたとのこと。

"The first contact with New Balance was when I was in high school" Jun kicked off. "Back in the days, I was spending most of my time dancing with my crew and admiring underground performers who are now in part of Exile tribe wearing N logo sneaker." He mentioned that he liked the way reflector logo flashes every time it hits the light that he continuously bought N logo sneaker without knowing any model name.

一方、物心ついた頃から段ボールを使って大きな戦車を作ったり、さまざまなモノ作りに勤しみ、その延長線上にペインティングがあり、気がつけばアーティストになっていたと語る、井上氏。

On the other hand, he was a craft boy since he was a baby. He liked to craft things with cardboard and painting was in a process of making something. And now he became professional painter with live performance.

その後、さまざまな縁やきっかけが作用し、2008年オーストラリアで開催された「NO COMPLY 08」では初めてとなる海外での作品発表を果たし、2010年にはアメリカオレゴン州ポートランドにてQue Houxoとのツーマンショー「花とダイヤモンド」も開催。同年にはナイキ本社の壁画を制作するなど活躍のフィールドを海外にまで広げていきます。

After became a professional painter, he gained attention globally and achieved opportunities to exhibit his artwork at "NO COMPLY 08" held in Australia and successfully held two man show with a title of "Flower and Diamond" at Portland, Oregon in 2010. He also designed a wall of Nike headquarter in Portland on a same year of two man show performed with Mr. Que Houxo.

また、2012年6月パリで開催されたミハラヤスヒロ（MIHARAYASUHIRO）の2013 S/S MENS COLLECTIONでもライブペインティングを披露するなど、ファッション業界にも多くのファンを獲得していきました。　

His one and only artwork and entertainment spread fire to the world and also to the fashion industry. His first work with fashion industry was with MIHARAYASUHIRO and he performed live painting at his 2013 Spring and Summer collection exhibition.

そんな井上氏が、ニューバランスとの蜜月関係を築くのには、まったく時間がかかりませんでした。活動を通して広がった友人を介して縁が繋がれ、ニューバランスのプレスプレビューにてライブペインティングを実施することに。もちろん、評判は上々！

And he is now working with New Balance. His activity and relationship with fashion industry have brought him to New Balance press preview. And he successfully finished his performance.

この結果を受けて、8月に地元である厚木のギャラリーにて開催される自身の個展にもニューバランスがサポートすることも決定したそうです。

Since then, New Balance is supporting Jun Inoue as Excellent Maker and will be supporting his individual exhibition hold in his hometown, Atsugi starting from next Sunday.

会場には、井上氏が「自分にとって一番大事な事、幸せなものを創り、そして皆様に少しでも楽しんでもらえるような時間と空間」が創り上げられ、今回先出しでお披露目してくれたペインティングされた「CRT300」も飾られる予定ですので、気になる方は是非足を運んで、彼の作品に触れてみてください！

At the exhibition, Jun Inoue will be displaying "important things and moments for his life" that provide comfortable space to visitors with full of joy. 1981年厚木市生まれ。多摩美術大学卒。2010年ナイキ本社へ壁画制作、2012年にはミハラヤスヒロ（ MIHARAYASUHIRO）パリコレクションの舞台にて、ライブペイントを行う。 様々なブランドや企業とコラボレーションを行うと同時に作品も各地で発表。 2014年11月にはオーストラリアのBackwoods Galleryにて個展開催予定。 現在厚木市在住。
