2012年秋冬に登場したMR2002に続く、最新フラッグシップモデルとして遂にリリースされたM2040。グレー、ブラックに続いて、2014年春夏には新色＆新素材が登場です！

The latest flagship model of new balance, "M2040" has been released in 2012 fall and winter after MR2002 with two different color variations, gray and black. And this year, new color of M2040 with new upper material will be released in March.

今までメッシュとのコンビだったアッパーは、高級感のあるヌバックのみ使用したオールレザー仕上げに。今まで切り替え部分に施されていたステッチワークは残し、ディテールはそのままに。

The combination of mesh and suede upper has drastically changed into luxury nubuck leather. Beside changing upper of M2040 into new material, all the other detail such as stitch works remain the same.

さらに、サイドパネルの"N"マークは細長い書体を採用しながらも、同色に仕上げて立体感を消し、ドレスシューズっぽさを強調しています。

Also, it is remaining thin and sporty N logos, but designing it to same color as nubuck leather in order to express dress shoes look and feel.

そして、今までのモデル同様にミッドソールには最新テクノロジー「レブライト（REVLITE）」を搭載し、とにかく軽量で高水準の耐久性やクッション性をキープ。アウトソールはこれまで使用していたランニング中に起こる過度な足の捻れを抑制し、軽量性と安定性を兼備したカーボンファイバーを採用。インソールには、快適で通気性・防臭性に優れるオーソライト（ORTHOLITE）社製のフットベッドを使用し、細部に至るまで機能性を高めています。

Lastly, M2040 is using "REV lite" midsole technology in order to provide lightweight, high durability, and pleasant cushion. With its carbon fiber plate on the outsole, it will give custom era better understanding of secure that shoes provide to us. In the middle of "REV lite" midsole and carbon fiber plate, M 2040 is using "ORTHOLITE" insole for high quality breathability and pleasant cushioning.

ソール先に入ったnew balanceロゴの赤は、グレー×ブラックに変更され、よりシックな印象に変化。

The new balance logo placed on the toe part of the sole has changed from red color to gray/black, which gives mature inspiration.

It is manufactured in Skowhegan factory, where all the historical new balance models have produced by craftsmen working with new balance for over 30 years.
