女性スタッフたちが各パーツを縫い合わせて出来たアッパー部分に、ソールを装着させたりなど、力仕事系は男性が担当。

The beginning of shoe making starts from cutting section and hand down to sewing section. And now we are in section where they place upper part and sole part of shoes. Mounting upper and sole requires muscle power, which is man's job.

ソールを圧着させる前に付けるのり付けや、機械を使っての圧着。そして、完成後に抜いた木型の整理など、こちらも熟練度合いに応じた分業がされていました。

Similar to sewing section, the process of placing sole and upper part of shoe are divided into three positions; starching position, crimping section, and organizing section. These sections are also separated by level of skills and experience.

ファクトリーで働く男たちは、やはり屈強でガタイが良かったが、彼らが雑かと言うとそんなことは決してなく、確かな技術を兼ね備えた敏腕でした。

Just as imagined, male workers in factory were sturdy and muscular, but that doesn't mean that they are sloppy. They had confidence in their credible skills and experience.

そして、やはり激しいタトゥーを体中に施したスタッフが多く、そんな面々が思い思いに履きこなしていたニューバランスとタトゥーとの組み合わせもカッコ良かったです。

And, needless to say but many male staff had furious tattoos everywhere around their body. Their characteristic presented by their tattoos and new balance style made them who they are, and we think that is very cool.
